Dr. Paulo Augusto de Arruda Mello is the Head Professor of Ophthalmology, Department of Ophthalmology, Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), Prof. Advisor of the Postgraduate Course of the Department of Ophthalmology Paulista School of Medicine (EPM) and Professor of Post-Graduation at the Federal University of São Paulo - Glaucoma. He has done his Specialization Course in Ophthalmology - Medical Residency, Master's Degree, Doctorate in Paulista School of Medicine / (UNIFESP). He is also the former Full Professor of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santos, Former coordinator of the Teaching Commission of the Brazilian Council of Ophthalmology, Former President of the Brazilian Council of Ophthalmology, Brazilian Society of Glaucoma, Ex-President of Pan American Glaucoma Society, Ex-President of Latin American Glaucoma Society, Scientific Council of the Brazilian Association of Glaucoma Carriers and the Brazilian Society of LASER and Refractive Surgery. He works in General Ophthalmology with emphasis on Glaucoma, Cataract, Anterior and Posterior Segment Diseases.
